Clerics thoughts

Hehehe i had a talk with Alandri this morning.

She had some interesting things to say.

It just occurred to me that if we are going to have spell points and such that it would be kinda nice if the new hud or meter somehow recorded them for us. If such is possible perhaps the use of the hud could be limited once the points are used up. That would definiately save the task of tracking our points.

That is.. if we are going to have points at all. From what i can see mages don't have those, nor do they have a spell list. So other than keeping track of what we can do, why even have a spell list if mages are not required to have one? Who is to limit the creativity of the gods after all?

*Laughs* Just kidding. We dont really want to be mages or we would have entered the mages guild instead. Still...

What if you tied the spell points to health? If someone casts a spell it seems that it should make them weaker for a bit... just a thought.

Hmmm... If it were not for the mages having no handicaps like that i would not mind. But i really do want to keep the mages and the clerics on even footing, at least for my own belief system, but i think all the clerics would like to have a fighting chance if pitted against a mage.

If the cleric tires out quicker or runs out of the ability to cast spells the mage will surely win if the cleric does not take him/her out quickly. And since the mages can make up any spell they want for however long they want where the clerics might be stuck with a limited spell list it does not look good for the clerics.

Aside from the ability to heal who would want to be a cleric? And given that the mages have no limits on their spells i dont see where they are even limited in terms of healing. Thats what i am looking at.
