New dragons & weyr

Much has happened since the last time i posted here. We have admitted several new dragons and lost one as well.

Of those just starting are Christine Bourgoin, Magni Fhang, Malygos Oryl and Shade Seoung.

I wish to congratulate Cora Heslop for completing the fire quest and Pak Haedong for completing the new water quest. Pak will be doing his fire quest soon as well as perhaps another dragon. I am still working the details out.

I must thank Queen Leanne as well as Illuvyan for our beautiful new weyr! The dragons truly have a new home in Triskele now.

Things done since last post;

I have made good use of the new weyr, making sure all the previous items are set up there. This includes the meter dispenser, breath weapon, book of the dragon clan,the quest that Bri created for newcomers and the dragon library.

I have also completed setting up the water and earth quests and the set up for the fire quests, getting information and volunteers who will assist in that quest as each is a planned event. I have set up an orb that will be the dispenser of all the quests save for Bri's Dragon Scroll quest.

The next quest to work on setting up is the air quest which i am working on with Pak.

Aside from that i also have a Journeyman to Clerics quest in the works as well as a role-play designed to involve the realm, perhaps for weeks. Though the RP will likely be a bit slow, hopefully it will involve more than a few as well as bring the Clerics Guild to the realms attention.

There will be two more fire quests, though i am running out of dragons to do them at the moment. I am also making some changes to the dragons instructions, one of which is to assist the other player and work together in completing the quest, something that was dropped out of the last fire quest.

One note of sadness, it seems that the dark queen left the realm. I do owe much to her since she has assisted in incorporating dragon lore into the dark realm and was willing to allow the quest site cave there also. She has been very diligent in arranging the battle for the drum circle which happened today. Unfortunately she left right before the battle or it probably would not have turned out as it did.

When it came down to the time for the battle, it was 5 from the dark realm against about 30 very organized members of the light realm. I, always the one wishing to see balance, volunteered to assist the dark realm this time.

Of the battle i can only say that my breath weapon worked perhaps 10% of the time that i could see. I ended up using my claws and flying around at ground level..taking out the light realm warriors that way. I didn't realize it at the time but it was a good strategy since the bipeds ended up shooting each other when trying to hit me.

For the first time in character in Triskele i ended up getting captured but was soon released. It was great fun and would be wonderful if more role-plays like this were planned.

New Dragons and Quests

The dragons of Triskele welcome Petunia Honey, Anuchis Dibou and Uroboros Magic to their ranks.

Also the dragon quests are being reconsidered and changed. Originally i had intended that the quests have to do with the elements. And then i realized that each element could possibly relate to a guild. This was some time ago when working out the details of each quest. But somehow between waiting for scripts and trying to find my leaders, things had just been delayed.

Now the leadership of the dragons is filling out to some extent. I also have most of the scripts i absolutely need and the quests are well on their way, at least the water and the earth quests. The air and fire quests still have some working out but we are working with both Pak and Lord Radek on those. With only a few things left to do for the water and earth quests i will soon be turning my full attention to the latter two.

There are other things in the works as well. I am creating a Journeyman to Clerics rank quest. And there is something that will be coming for the dragons. I do like to keep it a suprize but it might actually be there now.. or appearing in the next couple days. We will see.

The Dragons

If i was very good i would mention promotions in the ranks of the dragons. I will try to keep track of who has completed what quest here in the future. I know many have done the earth and the water quest already and when i have a chance i may post their names here if given permission.

The water quest, in order to further support the clerics guild will no longer be about the healing properties of dragon tears. I am developing an alternate quest for it now.

Still the Air and Fire quests are in preparation, aided by the new wing leader Illuvyan.

Sometimes i think perhaps i am deluding myself into thinking i am doing any good here. Perhaps it is just a fantasy that i am making anything better. Is it me pushing others away, or the other way around?

I suppose everyone has these moments of doubt.

Progress Report

Well so much has happened i never know where to begin. I never seem to have the time to just sit down and think this out anymore. I can say with some certainty that its either feast or famine. Either i have 5+ IMs or no one is talking at all, in which case i am trying to either read the things i need to, plan or build things. For better or worse there are a few things i have done in the past few weeks.

1) I have found a dragon who i have made our Wing Leader, responsible for training flight and combat to the Dragons of Triskele. We have started working on the air and fire quest. He has started plans for regularly scheduled classes.

2) The dragon altar has been made and is now in the posession of the Queen of the realm to be used as she wishes.

3) The Merfolk area is complete and i have been paid for it.

4) My Wing Leader may end up as my Elder of the Sun. However because of some problems i may loose my Elder of the Moon.

5) I wonder how good of a leader i am. I have much to learn. Two of my dragons were not getting along ooc. I heard one of them but the other didnt get a chance to talk to me until later. And then when he was online i took the first dragons point of view instead of hearing his without saying anything. I did ask him exactly what his complaint was but he just gave up and said forget it and may be leaving the realm. From this I have learned that its best to just keep my mouth shut until i know all the facts of the situation.

I admit i do not have a lot of patience with those who threaten to leave. I suppose it triggered a button on me because of past real life situations. This is my first situation of this kind in Triskele and i do not think i dealt with it in a fair unbiased way. I will try to do better next time. I wonder if there is anything i can do to mend the situation now or if its too late?

6) I have somehow become friends and somewhat responsible for the newby from hell. Just imagine an ADHD 12 year old. I pray to Thuban for wisdom and patience and also that he is a quick learner, which he seems to be. Of course the person may well be underaged. In which case if the Lindens find out he will be gone.

7) I do need to have more dragon meetings. People loose interest if they are not communicated with regularly.

Quick update

Things are moving along.

I am working on the air quest and i do have some definate ideas for the fire quest.I just need for a couple items to be scripted to go with the meters and huds.

I was asked to make the dragon alter for the upcoming roleplay, which i have done. All it needs is the Queen's approval. The quest site is coming along.. i may put in some seaweed emitters and such.

Then i was asked to create an area for the merfolk which i would love to do. We will see how that works out.

I have yet to appoint an Elder of the Sun and to get the list of dragons to the newly appointed Elder of the Moon.

Building Mistake

Well i guess i messed up big time though i still dont know the nature of the problem. I may not be around in the realm soon i fear.

I really wish i could go in world right now to fix whatever i did.
